Promotional postcard I designed for Linda Friend's on location photography exhibition and documentary film on Style & Grace Salon on a neighborhood hair-cuttery on Madison's South side.
Nearly my entire life has been spent around, television, print, and radio. Many years were devoted to bouncing between NYC, LA, and Paris, in front of the camera, on runways, networking, and soaking in the fashion culture. It was recently, after four years abroad that I decided it was time to come back home and go back to school. Upon my return I enrolled in the Graphic Design program at MATC where I am currently finishing out my degree.
Surely my life in fashion has had influence on my work. Moreover, I find my influences in the tactile things I encounter in my daily life, and in the beautiful intangible quite moments we are sometimes too busy to take in. In daily rituals, and time spent watching my kitten grow. In my Grandparents’ house, and it’s many closets filled with endless treasures of personal history. My inspiration sits in the dichotomy of my city social life and my quite country residential life, the nature of nature and it's cycles. In the personalities I encounter daily, the friends I keep, and the ways they express themselves. It is in our personal histories, relationships and the ways we interact, create, inspire, and love that I find my greatest inspiration.
